How to Play Gates of Olympus 1000Rules, buttons and the free spins round, step by step
Here is how to play Gates of Olympus 1000 from the first click to the free spins round, with real screens from the official demo in Canadian dollars. The whole game fits in five ideas: 8 symbols anywhere pay, wins tumble, orbs from 2x to 1,000x multiply the chain, 4 scatters open 15 free spins, and the 15,000x cap ends the round. Learn them in the free demo, then take them to real money.

How to Play Gates of Olympus 1000 in Six Steps
You can learn how to play Gates of Olympus 1000 in the time it takes to boil a kettle. Open the free Gates of Olympus 1000 demo on our home page — the studio's own game, priced in CAD, with a C$100,000 play balance — and follow these six steps.
- Set the bet. Tap the minus and plus buttons next to the spin button. The demo runs from C$0.20 to C$300.00 a spin and opens at C$2.00. Real-money casinos set their own range — at 1xBet Canada it is CA$0.20 to CA$125.
- Spin. Press the round arrow button, the Space bar or Enter. Hold Space for turbo spins.
- Count matching symbols. There are no paylines. If 8 or more of one symbol are anywhere on the 6×5 grid, they pay — 8–9, 10–11 or 12+ of a kind, three pay levels per symbol.
- Watch the tumble. Winning symbols explode, the rest fall down, new ones drop in from above. Every new win pays and tumbles again, with no limit.
- Look for orbs. A multiplier orb on screen when the tumbling ends multiplies the whole chain's win. All orbs on screen are added together first.
- Collect four scatters. Four or more Zeus scatters anywhere pay on their own and open 15 free spins, where every orb builds a running total that multiplies all later wins.
That is the whole loop. Everything else — ante bet, bonus buy, autoplay — changes how fast you reach step six, not the rules of the game.

The Screen: What Every Button Does
The Gates of Olympus 1000 screen is busy, but only seven controls matter. On the left sit two panels: Buy Free Spins (C$200.00 at a C$2.00 bet) and the ante bet switch, which reads "Bet C$2.50 — double chance to win feature". In the centre is the 6×5 grid; Zeus floats on the right and throws the orbs. Along the bottom you find credit and bet in CAD, the minus/plus bet buttons, the spin button and Autoplay.
| Control | Where | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Spin | bottom right, round arrow | one spin at the current bet; Space or Enter on a keyboard |
| − / + | either side of Spin | lower or raise the bet, C$0.20 to C$300 in the demo |
| Autoplay | under Spin | pick a number of auto-spins; press Autoplay again to stop |
| Buy Free Spins | top left | pays 100x the bet for an instant free spins round |
| Ante bet | left, under Buy | 25x mode: bet ×1.25, double free spins chance, buy off |
| Menu (≡) | bottom left | intro screen, music, sound effects, game history |
| Speed (»») | on the Autoplay button | normal speed, quick spin, turbo spin |
| Info (i) | bottom left | the seven rules pages quoted on this page |
The credit and bet labels show Canadian dollars by default — tap them to switch to coins and back — so what you read on the screen is what lands in your balance. The "i" button opens seven rules pages; we quote them below and show the key ones as screenshots.
Paytable: What Each Symbol Pays at C$1
Gates of Olympus 1000 pays by count. The table below converts the game's own rules screen (shown at C$2.00 in the demo) to a C$1.00 bet. Multiply by your stake: at C$0.20 divide by five, at C$5 multiply by five.

Four treasures — crown, hourglass, ring and goblet — carry most of the value; five gems fill the reels. A cluster of 12 or more crowns pays 50x the bet. In practice most base-game wins come from 8–9 gems: on a C$1 bet a blue-gem 8 pays C$0.25 and a red-gem 8 pays C$1. The money in this game is in the multipliers, not in the symbols.
Tumbles: One Spin, Many Wins
The tumble feature is the heartbeat of Gates of Olympus 1000. After every spin the winning symbols are paid and disappear, the remaining symbols fall to the bottom, and new symbols drop in from above. If the new grid wins again, it pays and tumbles again. The rules state it plainly: there is no limit to the number of tumbles, and all wins are added to your balance once the last tumble of the spin is done.
In our 1,000 base spins at C$1 a win landed on 29.0% of spins, and 112 spins chained two tumbles or more. The longest chain ran 10 tumbles in a row. Long chains matter because they give orbs more chances to fall: every tumble is a fresh drop of symbols, and an orb can land on any of them.

Multiplier Orbs: How the 1,000x Works
Orbs are the special symbols with a number on them. They can land on any reel, during any spin or tumble, in the base game and in free spins. Each orb takes a random value from sixteen: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x, 500x or 1,000x.
The rule that decides your win: when the tumbling sequence ends, all orbs on screen are added together and the total win of the sequence is multiplied by that sum. Say a chain pays C$3 in total and two orbs of 5x and 10x are on screen at the end — you receive C$3 × 15 = C$45. If the spin does not win, the orbs do nothing and vanish with the next spin.

In our 1,000 base spins of Gates of Olympus 1000, 18 orbs landed on winning screens: x5 was the most common (4 times) and x15 the biggest (twice). In the base game each orb works once and is gone. In free spins the orbs stop being one-off and start to stack — which is where the next section begins.
Free Spins: 15 Spins and a Total That Only Grows
Four or more scatters anywhere on the grid award 15 free spins. Scatters also pay on their own when they trigger: 4 pay 3x the bet, 5 pay 5x and 6 pay 100x — C$3, C$5 or C$100 at C$1.
During the round every orb that lands on a winning spin is added to a total multiplier shown on the left. For the rest of the round, any win that comes with a new orb is multiplied by the updated total. The total never resets inside the round, so a round that collects a few early orbs keeps getting stronger. Three or more scatters during the round add 5 more free spins, and special reels are in play while the bonus runs.

Here is what that looks like in numbers. Of our hundred bought rounds, only 4 finished without a single paying orb; the most frequent final total was x14, reached by 7 rounds, and 11 retriggers in 10 rounds added the extra five spins.

Bonus Buy and Ante Bet: Two Shortcuts
Part of learning how to play Gates of Olympus 1000 is choosing how you reach the bonus. The game gives you two ways to reach free spins faster, and you can use only one at a time.
Buy Free Spins costs 100x your bet — C$20 at C$0.20, C$100 at C$1, C$200 at C$2 — and guarantees four scatters on the next spin. Its return is set at 96.49%. In the demo it costs play money only, which makes the demo the right place to try a few buys before you pay for one. Expect a wide spread: of our hundred test buys, 20 landed between 100x and 200x, 14 between 200x and 500x, and 3 above 500x.
Ante bet raises your stake by a quarter — C$2.50 instead of C$2.00 — and in exchange doubles the chance of triggering free spins naturally, because more scatters sit on the reels. While ante is on, the buy button is disabled. RTP stays at 96.50%.
| Mode | Cost per spin at C$1 base | Free spins | RTP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal | C$1.00 | natural trigger | 96.50% |
| Ante bet (25x) | C$1.25 | natural trigger, double chance | 96.50% |
| Bonus buy | C$100 once | instant, 4 scatters guaranteed | 96.49% |
Which one suits you depends on budget. With C$100 you can play 100 normal spins at C$1, 80 ante spins, or one bought round. Our Gates of Olympus 1000 RTP and max win page shows how the three behaved in our sample.
How to Win at Gates of Olympus 1000
Let us be straight about how to win Gates of Olympus 1000: no system changes the maths. Every spin is random, the RTP is fixed at 96.50%, and the result of one spin tells you nothing about the next. What you control is how long your money lasts and how many chances you give the free spins round to show up. These five habits make the difference between a short session and a long one:
- Size the bet to the session. A high-volatility game needs room. Plan for at least 100–200 spins: with C$100, that means C$0.50 to C$1 a spin rather than C$5.
- Decide on the buy in advance. One C$100 buy at C$1 is a single big swing; 100 normal spins are a hundred small ones. Both have almost the same RTP. Pick the one that fits your plan, not your mood.
- Use the ante bet if you never buy. It costs 25% more per spin and doubles the natural trigger chance. If you always buy, leave it off — it blocks the buy button.
- Set stop points. A win target and a loss limit, written down before you spin, and an autoplay batch that matches them — 100 auto-spins at C$1 is a C$100 session.
- Learn in the demo first. The Gates of Olympus 1000 demo runs the same file. Spend 15 minutes there before you deposit.
The other half of how to win in Gates of Olympus 1000 — and the part most guides skip — is simply playing where the game pays you extra. Real-money spins enter Pragmatic Play's Drops & Wins with a CA$32,000 daily pool, and a Gates of Olympus 1000 bonus with free spins adds cash to your first deposits.

Gates of Olympus 1000 Review: Our Verdict in Numbers
This Gates of Olympus 1000 review is built on our own play, not on the studio's brochure. We ran 1,000 base spins and 100 bonus buys in the official demo at C$1 and checked every result against the paytable, with zero mismatches.
| What we checked | Result |
|---|---|
| Spins with a win | 29.0% — nearly every third spin |
| Longest tumble chain | 10 in a row |
| Free spins in 1,000 base spins | 3, best round 113.75x |
| Bonus buys that paid back the price | 37 of 100 |
| Best bonus buy | 579.55x the bet |
| Highest total multiplier | x72 |
| Biggest orb seen | x50 (twice in 100 buys) |
What stands out in this Gates of Olympus 1000 review: the 15,000x ceiling is three times the original's, the sixteen-value orb ladder makes every free spins round feel live until the last spin, and the 100x buy returned more than it cost across our 100 buys. The base game is quick and the tumbles keep it moving. If you enjoy high-volatility slots where one round can change the whole session, this is the version of the temple to play. The Gates of Olympus vs Gates of Olympus 1000 comparison shows how it stacks up against the 2021 original.
Settings, Autoplay and Game History
The menu button opens four toggles — intro screen, ambient music, sound effects and game history. History lists every round with its bet and win; the total of a free spins round is shown as one entry once the round is complete. The rules also state that the maximum win is limited to 15,000x the bet: if a round reaches it, the round ends immediately and pays the cap.

Autoplay starts when you pick the number of auto-spins, and a second press of the Autoplay button stops it. The Skip Screens option jumps past the free spins intro and end screens after a short pause. The speed button cycles through normal, quick spin and turbo spin; speed changes nothing in the result.

Questions About the Rules
How do you play Gates of Olympus 1000?
Set a bet from C$0.20, spin, and collect wins for 8 or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid. Every win clears and refills the grid, an orb multiplies the whole chain, and four scatters start 15 free spins with a total that keeps growing.
How many symbols do you need to win?
Eight of the same symbol anywhere on the 6×5 grid. 10–11 and 12–30 of a kind pay higher levels.
How do you trigger free spins in Gates of Olympus 1000?
Land 4, 5 or 6 Zeus scatters anywhere on the grid in one spin, use the ante bet to double the natural chance, or buy the round for 100x the bet.
Do multipliers reset in free spins?
No. Every orb on a winning free spin is added to the round's total multiplier, which stays until the round ends and multiplies every later win that comes with an orb.
Is there a strategy for how to win Gates of Olympus 1000?
No strategy changes the 96.50% RTP. Bet sizing that gives you 100–200 spins, a fixed choice between buying and spinning, and firm stop points make a session last longer.
Is there a trick for how to win in Gates of Olympus 1000 free spins?
No trick changes the result; what helps is understanding that the total multiplier only grows inside a round, so a round with early orbs is worth playing out to the last spin, and a +5 retrigger adds five more chances.
Can I learn how to play Gates of Olympus 1000 free?
Yes. Our home page carries the complete game as a free demo — buy, ante bet and autoplay included — with a play balance that refills on reload.
